Christopher Leebrick has been performing as a storyteller since the age of 13. He first appeared with Robert Rubinstein's nationally recognized Troupe of Tellers in 1975, and since then has delighted thousands of children and adults across the United States. He performs nationally at festivals, fairs, conferences, schools, libraries, and churches. He is also available to teach workshops on the art of storytelling for both children and adults. Christopher began performing professionally in 1986 and currently resides in Oregon's beautiful Willamette Valley with his wife and two children.

2007--Florida Performance: Chris performed for an enthusiastic crowd at the Citrus Ridge Library in Clermont, Florida in February, 2007. All ages enjoyed his selection of multicultural stories. An encore Florida trip is planned for the not-too-distant future!
Storytelling World Award: The 2006 national award for Christopher's CD, "Critters, Kids, and Cowboys", was announced in the May/June 2006 issue of Storytelling Magazine. Chris' CD received Honors in the highly competitive category of "Storytelling Recordings".
Summer 2007: Chris has had a busy summer schedule including performance tours of the Oregon high desert, southern Washington and Klamath County, Oregon. His Summer Reading show for libraries was entitled "Riddles, Tricks, and Tales of Mystery" and included juggling, magic tricks, comedy, and--of course--stories!
"True West": In the Fall of 2006, Chris performed opposite real-life brother, Richard, in Sam Shepard's comic drama "True West" at the Lord Leebrick Theatre Company in Eugene, OR (a company he co-founded in 1992 with Randy Lord). The production kicked off the theatre's 15th season and was both a critical and box-office success; the show was also held over for extra performances.

"Hearing Voices" Storytelling Festival: In Aprll of 2006, Christopher was one of the featured storytellers at the Portland area's newest family storytelling festival. He performed at the opening and closing concerts and at Washington County libraries throughout the week-long event.
New recording/ New CD: Christopher has already gone back into the studio to begin work on his third storytelling CD--stay tuned for more information! His second CD, "Critters, Kids, and Cowboys", Good Stories Vol. 2, was released in the Spring of 2005.
"Dawn of the Messiah": On Good Friday, 2006, Christopher presented his epic 65-minute presention of the story of Jesus of Nazareth at Valley Covenant Church in Eugene, OR. This was the third time this church has scheduled "Dawn of the Messiah" and the sanctuary was nearly filled to capacity. International Performances: In October 2005, Christopher was featured at the Australian National Storytelling Festival in Perth. At the festival, he presented a solo concert entitled "American Tales" (featuring material from Edgar Allan Poe, southern Appalachia, Native America, and the premiere of a personal story entitled "Perfect World"); he also contributed a spooky tale to the opening night Ghost Story concert and offered an updated version of his popular workshop, "Storytelling, a Theatrical Art". Plus, during his stay, Christopher gave several library performances for families in the nearby communities of Kalamunda and Joondalup.
StoryKeepers Festival: In the summer of 2004, Christopher was the featured storyteller at the second annual StoryKeeper's Festival in Missoula, Montana. He presented a 60 minute solo concert as the grand finale to the event and offered a two-hour workshop entitled, "Storytelling, a Theatrical Art". During his visit, he also performed for Montana Public Radio on the popular radio program, "The Pea-Green Boat".
